Professional Cook (Level 1) Application
The Professional Cook Program (Level 1) is offered at Abbotsford Senior Secondary, and allows students to maximize opportunities for future career development in the Food Service and Hospitality while still in high school.
- Duration: Daytime (no classes in July or August) for 1 school year; start in September or February of Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Prior to Program: Successful completion of
- all required Grade 10 courses
- Transportation: Responsibility of student
- Equipment & Textbook costs: Approximately $300
- Work Experience: 240 hours in trade OR Youth Work in Trades (480 hours)
- Certification Received: Professional Cook Level 1 (ITA Final Exam)
