Landscape Horticulture Application

Brooke (Yale Secondary Grad) has completed all three levels of Horticulture Apprenticeship Training at KPU in Langley, and is currently employed as an apprentice at Devon Nurseries. This program allows students to maximize opportunities for future career development in a variety of Landscape Horticulture pathways while still in high school. 

• Duration: Daytime, February – April of Grade 12
• Potential Total Credits:  16
• Prior to Program: Successful completion of
  • all required Grade 10 & Grade 11 courses
  • English Language Arts 12 and CLC 12 
  • Students need a SkilledTradesBC apprenticeship number from HortEd BC 
• Transportation: Responsibility of student
• Equipment & Textbook costs: Approximately $500
• Work Experience: 240 hours in trade OR Youth Work in Trades (480 hours)
• Certification Received: Landscape Horticulturalist Level 1 Skilled Trades BC Final Exam
